SkinCare

Skincare is a common term in the field of cosmetology. It is a multi-step technique used to maintain and improve overall skin health. A proper skincare routine enhances appearances and prevents skin conditions. The routine includes cosmeceuticals and topicals. Specialists prescribe particular cosmeceuticals depending on different skin conditions. For example, pigmentation and wrinkles can be treated with chemical peels and laser therapy, sun damage and freckles with products containing retinoic acids, glycolic acids, trichloroacetic acid, and dry skin can be treated with emollients.

The growing number of elderly people has increased the demand for skin care products and procedures. For instance, signs of aging, such as wrinkles and fine lines, can be treated with botulinum toxin, otherwise known as Botox, which can improve the skin condition. Certain skincare products also treat bacterial, fungal, viral, and yeast infections. Moreover, the skincare industry is booming owing to the rising demand for natural products, such as essential oils and plant extracts.
