Biography

Misha Montfort-Mills, BSN, RN, MS, is a researcher with the SJS Research Consortium, where her work focuses on advancing genetic testing strategies for patients with Stevens-Johnson Syndrome (SJS) and Toxic Epidermal Necrolysis (TEN). Her research explores predictive markers and personalized approaches to improve patient safety, early diagnosis, and clinical outcomes in rare but life-threatening drug reactions. Alongside her research, she practices as an ICU nurse at Baylor University Medical Center, building on her earlier experience in the Burn Trauma ICU at Medical City Plano. Misha earned her BSN from Texas Woman’s University and an MS in Healthcare Leadership & Management from the University of Texas at Dallas, where she also completed dual undergraduate degrees in Molecular Biology and Business Administration. She is passionate about bridging bedside care, translational research, and innovation to improve outcomes for critically ill patients.
